This painting is one of three paintings done for shows that were honoring the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson's sailing up the river. I did it mostly because I was (am) deeply moved by the power of the falling water. The image is always different and always the same. To freeze it in a painting or a photograph does not do justice to the raw power - you can only imagine the roar and the spray.
