I was trying a form of structure the world depends upon. I decided that the handshake is an important step away from primitive fear of strangers. A handshake is touching without hurting and without weapons. The skeletal hand suggests a sort of permanence (it is a drawn image on kraft paper) The real hand is trying to show the here and now (it is a digital image printed in 2 parts). The background with the inverted red triangle suggests that there is a delicate balance in any bargain.
