Biographical Information

Born:
Pittsfield Massachusetts – August, 1943. When I was a year old, we
moved back to Glens Falls, from Lennox Massachusetts. We lived on Oak
Street until I was 8 years old then we moved to a new house that my dad
built, on Martindale Avenue in Hudson Falls (grade school was Saint Mary’s
K-6).

High School:
Hudson Falls High School (grades 7 - 12) graduated 1961

College:
State University of New York at New Paltz graduated 1965 – post-graduate work from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Married:
Charlotte Serradimigni, 1966. We have 3
children—Jennifer (1967) Benjamin (1969) and Schuyler (1980). We have 4
grand children—Forrest, age 16 and his brother Emmett age 15 (sons of our
daughter Jen and her late husband Randy) and their cousins Carter, age
5 and Sawyer 2 year old. (sons of our son Benjamin and his wife Jennifer)

In 1990 we
moved into a new home that I built, with the help of my wife, at 12 Morgan
Drive (right behind the house that my dad built) where we presently live.

Work:
I began teaching Art at Queensbury Elementary School (grades 1,2,3) in
January 1966—I did that for 1.5 years. Then I started teaching grades
4,5,6—I did that for one year. For the next 7 years I taught at the 7-8th
grade level. Then I started teaching in the High School, where I remained
until my retirement in 2001, June (after 35.5 years); retiring as the Chairman of the High School Art Department.

After retiring, I used my new free time to catch up
on some things that I let slide over the years. After a fashion, however, I got reacquainted with the production of art and started painting again. It feels good. I have found my voice. This is how I will end my days. This is my future.
